Heaven
and Earth in Asia - One of Korea's best-known photographers,
Kim Soo-nam has been recording Korea's traditional folk culture,
with a special focus on Shamanic ceremonies, for the last 20 years.

shaman performing a purification ritual on a patient; whe use the
element of fire to provide a natural form of healing.
Novosibirsk
Regional Studies Museum - a wonderful photo essay of the Last
Siberian Shamans before the new-Soviet anti-religious movement
kicked in around the 1930's. Also, your see pictures of the Shamanic
Equipment like drums, rattles and talismans.
The picture to the left depicts a
Siberian Shaman of the early years. Diana, our local shaman,
took part in
the first ritual allowed on the shores of Lake Baikal since the
Soviet area. Shamans and documentary professionals from 30 different
countries were there to celebrate and record the event.
